ADMISSIONS

Admissions Requirements

Ø  Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and must have completed high school or have a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).  

Ø  A copy of your diploma or current driver’s license must be presented to Dominion School of Hair Design.

Ø  Admissions interviews are required for all individuals to determine and establish goals, objectives and qualifications. 

Ø  Application form submitted and $50 application fee paid.  

Ø  Each applicant must visit the school for a personal interview with Director

Admission Procedures

Ø  Students must apply for admission to Dominion School of Hair Design by submitting the required application form.  

Ø  Schedule a personal interview with the director of admissions. 

Ø  Schedule basic skills test, if applicable with transfer hours. 

Ø  Present copy of high school diploma/GED and proof of age at time of interview.

Ø  Payment of $50 Application Fee is due at time of interview.

Ø  Upon acceptance into the program, full payment is required or payment schedule must be arranged with our business manager. Credit check may be required if monthly plan is requested.  Additional fee of $25.00 is required for credit report.

Ø  All students must sign a binding contract.  If contract is not signed in the presence of a Dominion representative (i.e out of state students), then notarized signature is required. 

Graduation Requirements

Ø  All assignments must be completed.

Ø  Attendance must meet satisfactory progress.

Ø  Hours and skills sets for required course must be completed.

Ø  Theory and practical workbooks must be completed and turned in to instructor.

Ø  Computer testing completed.

Ø  Internet testing completed

Ø  Exam review book completed.

Ø  Chapter tests completed.

Ø  Pass a practice State Board exam for both the practical and theory portions.

Ø  All tuition, fees, costs or any other outstanding balance must be paid in full.

Ø  Graduates who satisfactorily complete requirements are awarded a Certificate of   Completion and their application for the State Board Examination.
